Sainte-Chapelle tickets at a glance
The Sainte-Chapelle is a Gothic palace chapel on the Île de la Cité, at 10 Boulevard du Palais, close to Notre-Dame. It was built under King Louis IX as a chapel for the royal palace and for its relics. Its main draw is the stained glass, an important set of Gothic glass painting from the 13th century.
It is run by the Centre des monuments nationaux and is separate from the cathedral. This site is an independent guide and does not sell tickets. The prices below apply from 12 January 2026.

Hours, time slots and security
How a visit works.
Opening hours
From 1 April to 30 September: 09:00 to 19:00. From 1 October to 31 March: 09:00 to 17:00. Closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
Last entry
The monument gives the last entry as 30 minutes before closing. A museum pass provider lists 18:15 in summer and 16:15 in winter, which is 45 minutes before closing. Arrive earlier than either to be safe.
Time slots
Book a time slot, also for children, free-entry visitors and Paris Museum Pass holders. Arrive at the time you booked. A booking does not remove the security check, and it does not promise an instant way in.
Security at the Palais de Justice
The chapel stands inside the law courts, so checks are stricter, and an ID check is possible. Sharp objects, glass containers and large bags are not allowed. There is no cloakroom, and items taken at the entrance are not returned.
Combined ticket
The time you book is for the Sainte-Chapelle. You can visit the Conciergerie before or after, within its opening hours.
The Conciergerie next door
The Conciergerie is the surviving part of the royal Palais de la Cité. It later became a prison, and its history includes the French Revolution and the detention of Marie-Antoinette, held from the night of 1 to 2 August 1793 and executed on 16 October 1793. The chapel there today stands on the site of her former cell. It is not an unchanged prison room.
Check the current timetable and any closed rooms before you go, and do not plan a late arrival.

Paris Museum Pass
A pass can make sense, but it depends on what you visit.
The Paris Museum Pass includes the Sainte-Chapelle, with a reservation required and the usual security check. The 2026 prices are €85 for 2 days (48 hours), €105 for 4 days (96 hours) and €125 for 6 days (144 hours), counted in consecutive hours from your first visit. The pass includes the towers of Notre-Dame, with a free time slot you must book. The cathedral itself is free, so it needs no pass. Whether a pass saves money depends on how many paid sights you visit.
If you plan a second museum day, the Louvre has its own guide. Sights further out, such as Sacré-Cœur, are separate trips.
